Military applications for command & control, workshops and field hospitals

The Hawkmoor Tempro Dome is an exciting and unique development that will revolutionise logistical food supply and distribution in military operations. The inflatable structure is designed to provide quick and convenient facilities for chilled food, but it can be put to many other uses.

Military applications exist for air conditioned command and control centres, portable workshops, field hospital wards and operating theatres, or temporary body holding. An ideal use is the temperature controlled storage of pharmaceuticals.

The dome can be erected in less than half an hour and be fitted with portable refrigeration, heating, air conditioning or other equipment as required. Additional modular units (6 x 4 x 2.8m) may be linked to increase floor area and storage volume.

Hawkmoor’s Tempro Dome is self-supporting. The structure does not demand special foundations or flooring and once inflated, only requires an intermittent low pressure air supply to maintain its semi-circular shape.

The core material is made of patented Tempro® insulation material lined with industrial PVC coated polyester, which provides an efficient thermal barrier against external ambient conditions. Access is by a 2.5 metre high aluminium-framed doorway fitted with an optional PVC strip curtain and roll-down night door.
