The FK2000 ready for transportation. This compact unit is extremely mobile and can be transported by helicopter if required

The FK2000 shown in full operational mode, complete with on-board lighting, protective tent and adjustable tow hook

The FK2000 is designed for mobility and very rapid deployment. Cooking can be done on the move so that meals are ready immediately the convoy halts.

A team of 5 (four cooks and a supervisor) is sufficient to enable this kitchen to feed 300 soldiers in field conditions and to provide the men with 3 cooked meals a day.

The kitchen has a modular construction designed to make maintenance and hygiene simple. All equipment required for kitchen use, including the protective tent, has its own storage space. No special training is required. Everything is easy to clean.

The lightweight FK2000 is trailer mounted and built to high specifications using a standard commercial towing chassis, mechanical inertia braking and height adjustable tow connection. The total weight of the unit is only 1600 kg, which makes it easy to airlift by helicopter.

It operates on a variety of fuels -- the Standard model has equipment for burning diesel or solid fuel. This gives the user complete autonomy in action and freedom from reliance on a specified fuel supply, although there is sufficient built-in diesel fuel capacity for 2-3 days operation. High fuel efficiency is assured thanks to its advanced burner technology. Fuel changes can be carried out during cooking; the changeover takes only a minute.

Side opening hatches provide protection against rain and direct sun. If further protection is required, add-on side covers may be attached. Camouflage lighting makes it possible to work in a blackout situation, even without the protective tent. All combustion products are extracted via the chimney so that the working area remains free from contaminants at all times.
