LPG
fuel
The
heat source is liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or butane, which has been
found to be the most reliable fuel for use under arduous conditions. It
has the many advantages of widespread availability, rapid heating without
generating oily or sooty deposits; also, low maintenance, low operating
costs coupled with virtually no training and extreme simplicity of use.
Powerful
recessed burner stations
The
Hawkmoor CF84 MkIII mobile field kitchen is equipped with six powerful
recessed burners, two at the front and four at the rear, each rated at
15kW. The LPG fuel is supplied to each group of burners from separate
17 litre standard-type cylinders; however, most users will tend to use
larger cylinders which can be transported in the towing vehicle.
Burner
valve compartments
Alternative
quick-release couplings for both butane and propane are housed in compartments
at each end of the unit. Simple on/off control knobs govern the flame
height. No training is needed. The CF84 MkIII requires only minimal maintenance,
and no special tools are needed for this purpose.
